International Coal offering raises at least $230m

International Coal Group, controlled by US billionaire Wilbur Ross, on Tuesday priced its long-awaited public offering and raised at least $230m to pay down debt.

The sale represented the latest successful turnaround of a troubled industrial business for Mr Ross, who led the restructuring of the US steel industry, buying several smaller companies and selling them earlier this year to Mittal Steel for $4.5bn.
