Jordanian police arrested at least 120 suspects and stepped up security as Kofi Annan, UN Secretary-General, arrived for talks with King Abdullah on Friday after Wednesday’s terrorist attacks that killed 56 people in the capital, Amman.

Al-Qaeda on Friday claimed on an Islamist website, which was not verified, that three Iraqi men and a woman carried out the suicide bombings. It said “A group of martyrdom-seekers carried out the planning and implementation. They comprised three men and a woman who decided to accompany her husband on the path to martyrdom.”
