Iran’s voters courted on foreign policy

Iran is not only a regional power – it is a global superpower. That, at least, is the tale that President Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad has been selling Iranians as he vies to win another term in office in Friday’s election.

Since launching his campaign last month, Iran’s radical president has been rallying support by portraying himself at once as the humble man of the people and the great protector of Iranian pride.
