Harvard faces donor backlash

Harvard University – the wealthiest college in the world with an endowment of more than $26bn – is facing donor backlash in the wake of Lawrence Summers’ resignation as president.

Several major donors have put on hold multi-million dollar gifts to the school since Mr Summers announced he would step down in February after a faculty revolt, according to sources close to the matter. The news was first reported in the Wall Street Journal.
