Woolies looks again at Baugur

Woolworths has opened the door to the Baugur-led consortium trying to buy its stores two days after rejecting a proposed £50m ($93m) bid.

Richard North, Woolworths chairman, said he was “not unwilling to talk” to Malcolm Walker, chief executive of the Iceland retail chain, fronting the bid. “I’m just annoyed that it couldn’t be a quiet conversation.”
