Symbion rejects Primary’s offer

Symbion Health on Thursday rejected as too low a A$2.65bn ($2.48bn) takeover offer from Primary Health Care, a rival Australian group which recently blocked a deal between Symbion and Healthscope.

Primary, Symbion’s biggest shareholder with a 20 per cent stake, has offered A$4.10 in cash for each of its target’s shares.
