Hearst makes Emap magazine offer

Hearst, the privately owned US newspaper and magazine publisher behind Cosmopolitan and Esquire, has made an indicative offer of £700m for Emap’s consumer magazine division, which includes Grazia, Heat and FHM.

Emap issued information memorandums for its three divisions – consumer magazines, radio and business-to-business operations – in September, with the indicative bids due at the end of last week.
