Ban on junk food adverts 'should be bolder'

Consumer and health groups attacked the communications regulator last night for rejecting a blanket ban on all advertisements for foods high in salt, sugar or fat before the 9pm watershed.

They said its proposals for reducing the impact of junk food commercials on children did not go far enough.
