Gulf markets spiral down

The Gulf region’s stock markets continued their downward decline on Wednesday as poor global sentiment continued to weigh on regional investors.

The MSCI Gulf index lost 1.2 per cent, extending its monthly drop to 14.2 per cent, one of the worst months on record in the region. While most exchanges are dominated by day traders, international investors have fled the markets and influenced the outlook of locals.
