It is difficult to imagine a more powerful icon for a London brand than the clock face of Big Ben.

Yet the brand of the watch- and clockmaker Edward Dent fell from prominence in recent decades. Now the watchmaking heritage of the company that produced timepieces for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert is being revived by a pair of 21st-century entrepreneurs.
