Bush adviser sees rise in US wages growth

After years of stagnation, US wage growth will start to catch up with high productivity and economic growth, according to a senior Bush administration official.

Edward Lazear, chairman of President George W. Bush’s Council of Economic Advisers, on Tuesday also sought to dispel the increasingly widespread view that the median US employee is suffering from a long-term decline in earnings potential.
