Hong Kong to drop curbs on foreign dependants’ jobs

Hong Kong will remove a ban on the spouses and children of foreign professionals working in the territory, as part of government efforts to attract more overseas talent.

Business communities, which have long demanded the move, said it would boost Hong Kong’s competitiveness. The city risks losing talent to other Asian centres, such as Singapore, as air pollution worsens.
