Digital radio at a critical stage

Senior executives of the UK commercial radio industry will be scanning a strategy updated by GCap Media on Monday with finely-tuned antennae, not least to discern what gaps it leaves in the broadcast spectrum.

Although there are almost as many shades of opinion on the future of digital radio as there are frequency bands, one contention likely to unite experts is that there is more bandwidth available than can usefully be filled.
