Given the unprecedented scale of the financial crisis, inward investment in France has held up remarkably well, says David Appia, executive chairman of the Invest in France Agency.
In 2008 the number of new projects, at 641, was slightly ahead of the 628 announced in 2007. “I think in 2009 we will be looking at a similar number of projects to last year, though probably at somewhat fewer jobs,” he says.
