Poundland plans expansion

Poundland is pushing forward with expansion plans and adding more household names to its stores after bargain-hunting Brits helped the discount chain double its pre-tax profits.

Europe’s biggest single-price retailer expects to hold 250 stores by the end of the year, up from 212 currently, and said it was considering breaking into the international market.
