The salaries of daily nannies in central London have leapt to above £30,000 a year, after soaring at their fastest pace in almost a decade.

The pay of central London nannies who do not live in their clients’ home has almost doubled since 1998 to £33,179, according to a survey of agencies by Nannytax, Britain’s biggest payroll company for nannies’ employers, and Nursery World magazine.
