Europe’s company chiefs remain wary

European chief executives may have been prescient in seeing the downturn coming last year but they are reluctant to herald the recovery in spite of strong positive official growth figures.

A number of business leaders from all industries across the continent expressed caution in interviews with the Financial Times, explaining why they are not feeling as buoyant as the statistics on economic growth suggest they should be.
