Staff express anger over BA's 'work for free' request

Willie Walsh, chief executive of British Airways, faces fresh conflict with unions after they reacted angrily to proposals that staff should work without pay for a month.

The airline, which is struggling with its worst financial slump in its history, has written to its 41,000 employees, asking them to volunteer for up to four weeks of unpaid work or unpaid leave.
