US oil prices tumbled by more than $4 a barrel on Wednesday as a huge increase in US crude stocks fuelled concerns about weak demand in America.

Nymex September West Texas Intermediate dropped below the $64-a-barrel mark, sinking $4.19 to a low of $63.04 a barrel, before paring losses at $3.88, or about 6 per cent, to $63.35.
