Rescuers in Egypt were yesterday trying to remove huge boulders that tumbled from a cliff on the eastern edge of Cairo, crushing 50 homes in a slum area, Heba Saleh reports from Cairo .

At least 31 people were killed in Ezbet Bekhit when the rocks fell off the Muqattam hills in the early hours of Saturday morning.
