Ill Grainger chief set to stand down

Grainger, the UK’s largest quoted residential property owner, confirmed that its chief executive would stand down because of ill health as it reported continued caution about the near-term outlook for the housing market.

In a trading statement in advance of results for the year to September 30, Grainger said that it remained cautious of any sustained recovery, although the company added that some stability had returned over the past few months to the market.
