Singapore overtakes US to lead world in new IT

Singapore has overtaken the US as the world's most successful economy in exploiting new information and communications technologies, the World Economic Forum said yesterday in its latest global information technology report.

The US, leader in three previous reports, has dropped to fifth behind Iceland, Finland and Denmark.
