Berlin in talks to end airline row

Lufthansa has asked the government in Berlin to intercede in a dispute with Russian authorities that has forced the German airline’s cargo planes to avoid Russian airspace since early Sunday.

Although the two sides on Wednesday could not even agree on the cause of disruption to Lufthansa Cargo’s vital Europe-to-Asia flights, German observers spoke of yet another sign of a resurgent Russia.
