Kuwait’s cabinet on Monday submitted its resignation after a clash with parliament, plunging the oil-rich Gulf state into renewed political crisis.

The resignation, which fuelled speculation that the dissolution of parliament may be next, marked the third time the government had stepped down within the past two years over differences with the assembly.
