Blunkett in pensions clash with Brown

David Blunkett on Sunday set himself on a collision course with Gordon Brown over pension policy, declaring no solution to the crisis was "off-limits" in Labour's third term.

As the party started to come to terms with its drastically reduced Commons majority, Mr Blunkett, the new Work and Pensions Secretary, refused to rule out compelling people to save more for retirement in the near future.
