C4 lays out case for public service funds

Channel 4 said it would need up to £150m ($305m) annually in state funding to keep playing its part in public service broadcasting, but resisted pressure on Thursday to say how it thought the money would be found.

Politicians attending the “Next on 4” event urged Luke Johnson, C4’s chairman, and Andy Duncan, its chief executive, to say how it might be paid for in future.
