Strong oils pushes FTSE to four-year high

A bullish note on the energy sector helped push the FTSE 100 to its highest level in more than four years on Thursday.

UBS raised its forecasts for Brent crude from $52 to $56.35 for 2005 and from $40 to $64 for 2007, as it saw neither the prospect of a slowdown in demand nor the extra supply needed to bring prices down from current levels.
