Obama poised to top $230m on airwaves

As the Republican party chairman in Fluvanna County, Florida, Doug Johnson considers it part of his job to monitor political advertising on local television.

But the battle of the airwaves has become so lop-sided he can hardly bear to watch. “You can’t turn on the TV without seeing Obama,” he says.
