Penguin UK to axe 100 jobs

Penguin UK, the consumer books subsidiary of Pearson, owner of the Financial Times, will dismiss 100 people in the company’s London offices, or about 10 per cent of its UK workforce.

The company would not say which departments would be most affected, but highlighted three areas where jobs would be cut: Dorling Kindersley, Penguin and back office functions.
