Independent films feel hedge fund heat

The UK's independent film industry looks set to become the latest victim of the credit crisis as funding sources dry up amid turmoil in the hedge fund industry.

Aramid Capital, a fund of hedge funds and the most active investor in single-picture deals in the UK, is having to scale down funding on the back of redemption pressure.
