Retail fees rise while big investors get discounts

Investors have fled funds of all descriptions, leaving those with money to invest, theoretically able to dictate terms. There is anecdotal evidence of fee pressure on hedge funds, but the trend is less clear among traditional regulated funds.

While institutional fees are trending lower, retail investors in Europe seem to pay more for fund management every year, according to a report from Lipper.
