Tokyo considering loans U-turn

Japanese consumer finance companies received a big boost to their market value on Monday on signs that the government might reconsider stricter lending rules that are scheduled to come into force next summer.

Shares in Aiful and other leading moneylenders posted double-digit gains after a weekend media report that the government would set up a team to review the new law.
