Late bookings boost Tui Travel

Britons are shrugging off swine-flu fears and returning to Mexico this summer, although French holidaymakers are still wary of the strife-riven Caribbean, Tui Travel said on Wednesday.

The tour operator’s results have also shown a trend toward ever later holiday booking, and a split in European consumer confidence when it comes to holiday bookings, with British and Nordic holidaymakers regarding the summer holiday abroad as more sacred than the stay-cationing Dutch and Germans.
