CBS unveils free WiFi zone plan

CBS will provide free wireless internet access to a 20-block swath of Midtown Manhattan in a further attempt by the media group to expand its reach among consumers and advertisers.

The CBS Mobile Zone, as it is called, will stretch from Central Park to Times Square and will allow people with WiFi-enabled computers and mobile phones to log on to the internet at no charge when they are within its boundaries.
