Adecco, the world’s biggest temporary employment group, on Thursday bolstered the evidence of an upturn in manufacturing by reporting higher demand for blue-collar workers in France and the US, two of its main markets.
“In the past 12 to 13 weeks, we have seen a gradual pick-up, especially in the industrial business, which is an early cycle indicator,” said Patrick De Maeseneire, chief executive.
