UK banks repay £400m in ‘unfair’ fees

The UK’s biggest banks paid out about £400m to customers reclaiming “unfair” overdraft charges during the first half of 2007.

This week was the first time that UK lenders have detailed exactly how much the flood of claims from consumers over the past year has cost them.
