Rebuilding aid sparks Gaza dispute

Two days after a fragile truce took hold of the Gaza Strip, a dispute has erupted over who should be in charge of rebuilding the war-ravaged territory, amid concerns that international aid will bolster the legitimacy of Hamas and deepen the divide between Palestinian factions.

Arab governments have already pledged at least $1.25bn (€940m, £850m) for Gaza, and European leaders have also promised aid.
