FTSE falls as UK braces for slowdown

Satellite broadcaster BSkyB on Wednesday sank to a 10-year low and was one of the biggest fallers in a weak FTSE 100.

The shares – also trading ex-dividend – finished 11.3 per cent lower at 356½p amid concerns that customers would start cancelling subscriptions because of the economic slowdown.
