Euro Disney 'bidder' faces shares probe

A little-known Swiss company that last year said it would launch a takeover bid for Euro Disney, the French entertainment park, is being investigated for possible market manipulation, the German financial regulator said yesterday.

BaFin, Germany's financial watchdog, announced that it had launched an inquiry into share price moves in Center-Tainment, a Frankfurt-listed Swiss shell company, at the time of its failed Euro Disney approach.
