‘Crisis diamonds’ strive to shine

Diamonds, easy to sell when times are good, are a much tougher sell when times are tough. Little wonder, then, that the diamond industry has taken to marketing them as a symbol of love and affection “in times of crises”.

The pitch comes as diamond merchants fret about slowing sales.
