Like many budding entrepreneurs, Craig Dearden-Phillips (pictured below) had a promising idea but very little idea of how to turn it into a financially viable organisation.

He found­ed Speaking Up in Cambridge with the aim of giving vulnerable people the opportunity to take control of their lives rather become institutionalised. But he realised he did not have the managerial skills and know-how to translate his vision into a sustainable reality. So he turned to advisers with private equity experience and big-business know-how.
