Indonesia signs peace deal with Aceh rebels

Indonesia and separatist rebels from the country's tsunami-stricken Aceh province signed a landmark peace agreement on Monday, widely seen as the best opportunity yet for ending one of the world's longest-running conflicts.

The agreement, signed in Helsinki, comes closer than any previous accords to setting the framework for building a lasting peace in the province whose 4m people have endured war since 1976.
