Infrastructure: Provision of services urgently needed

The end of last month saw the long-awaited launch of Ghana’s re-born national airline, Ghana International Airways – a partnership between the government and a group of private investors based in Utah.

It was a modest start – one return flight daily between Accra and London, using a Boeing 757-200 leased from Ryan International Airlines – but a symbolic triumph for the Ghanaian government which prides itself as a trendsetter in the region.
