Japan post reform tainted by lawmaker’s suicide

The high drama surrounding Japan's postal reform took a tragic turn on Monday when a legislator killed himself in apparent response to criticism over his support for the government's plan to privatise the world's biggest financial institution.

Yoji Nagaoka, 54, a member of the lower house, died in hospital after he was found hanging from a rope at his Tokyo home.
