Palestinian gunmen attacked an Israeli-controlled crossing point into the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, in a raid that left two civilians dead and raised the likelihood of a fresh bout of fighting between Gaza-based militants and Israeli forces.
At least four armed Palestinians burst into the terminal at Nahal Oz, the main transit point for fuel shipments into the Gaza Strip, after militants fired several rounds of mortars into the area. The men then fired their weapons, killing two Israeli workers and injuring at least another two, before escaping back into the territory. According to the Israeli army, two of the attackers were killed.
