ENRC rejects rival’s board seat request

Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation on Thursday rejected suggestions that Kazakhmys, its smaller mining rival, should have a seat on the board.

Last week, Kazakhmys, which like ENRC is based in Kazakhstan, increased its stake in its rival to 25 per cent and said it would like boardroom representation. It has not made a formal request, but a previous one made last year was rejected.
