Eight suspects arrested over the alleged plot to blow up several US-bound aircraft in mid-flight on Tuesday have ppeared in court in London charged with conspiracy to murder, as senior security officials warned of a “deadly and enduring” terrorist threat.

Three other people were also charged with different offences.
