Police stations targeted in Algeria attacks

A series of bomb attacks in Algeria on Tuesday killed at least six people in what appeared to be co-ordinated strikes, suspected to have been carried out by a militant Islamic group.

Some of the seven attacks, which included car bombings and occurred almost simultaneously, targeted police stations. Others ex-ploded in town centres in the Tizi Ouzou and Boumerdes districts east of Algiers, the capital.
