Moscow in push for super-power status

Russia wants to regain the super-power status the Soviet Union once had to determine the future of Europe, according to the Czech foreign minister.

Karel Schwarzenberg said that although Russia was not an imminent threat to the rest of Europe it could become one in five to 10 years time.
