Energy: LNG set to play key complementary role

Greece has adopted a new strategy to advance its goal of becoming a regional energy hub, according to Makis Papageorgiou, chairman and chief executive of Depa, the state-owned gas supplier.

With delays expected in securing long-term supplies of natural gas delivered by pipeline, Depa plans to develop liquefied natural gas terminals as a medium-term alternative, Mr Papageorgiou says.
